That briny film is the worst.... if it gets bad enough, it can sand away the rubber on your wiper blades, leaving them near useless.

Easy trick is to find a semi or something to kick up sone moisture and use that solution, but when its 8 deg. And a 75 speed limit....not much helps. So I drive on instruments a while:)

Not around here. They use a salty brine fluid instead of actual salt chunks, and that spray is like driving behind a giant bottle of spray paint that's leaking.
